Caitlin Sweeney

I am beyond excited to have the chance to be on this service trip to New Orleans. It is such a great city filled with so many stories and people with unique backgrounds, and I can not wait to be immersed in the culture and learn everything I can from the amazing people we will encounter. Emily Dickinson once said, "The soul should always stand ajar, ready to welcome the ecstatic experience." This quote encompasses what I hope to get out of this trip. I want to keep an open mind to everything that I will see and hear. I want to fully understand the people that I am serving and learn from their amazing and noble history.
