Pre-New Orleans Fever !

NOLA 2015 is finally here!! Since this is my second time going to New Orleans, I am expecting a similar experience, but with a few differences. I'm a chaperone this year so I have a different view on the trip! My hopes and expectations are that I can help the freshmen have an awesome experience by being a resource and a good leader. The best part of my trip so far is the van ride because I am getting a chance to get to know some of my fellow Bonners. I have nothing but high hopes for this trip!

It is now day two of the drive New Orleans and I'm not feeling well.  I'm going that this sickness will pass so I can have a good time. I am having a great time getting to know Amani more. She's my little and we've gotten to know each other pretty well but, this trip has really brought us closer together. I am really looking forward to making new memories with her , as well as others (chaperones and freshmen alike). I really miss my family but I know they're proud of me and all I've accomplished so far.

Other than that , I am looking forward to meeting the homeowner(s) of the house we will be working on. When given the chance to meet the homeowner(s), it definitely adds more meaning to the job I came down here to do. Hearing them say thank you. Seeing them smile. It's just a beautiful moment and I can't wait to be in that moment again.
